Starglide Conference Support
Problem:
Starglide needed a video that highlighted the features of their belt moving walkway system to play at their booths at various conferences across Europe and North America. Starglide had not yet installed a completed belt system, so filming one in the wild was not possible. As an added complication, their American booths would play the video on a single wide screen tv, while their European booth would split the video into thirds across three vertically oriented screens. The clients budget would only allow for one video that would need to work in both applications.
They also needed a combination business card and informative brochure that would stand out in a sea of forgettable business cards and corporate ephemera.
Solution:
I created a shot list in collaboration with my creative team to get footage of Starglide’s recently completed prototype belt system and created a storyboard for a series of animated sequences that I would stitch together with the b-roll of the belt system to create a video that outlined Starglide’s main branded message points while keeping important elements within the safe areas of thirds to keep them from being split between screens in the European booths.
For the business card and brochure, I created a faux boarding pass that would act as the clients business card. The boarding pass was wrapped in a custom designed ticket envelope that featured the key selling points of the system and a fold out diagram of the belt system.
